Dimebag Darrell: High Resolution
By 1981, Darrell had adopted the nickname Dimebag and formed the group called Pantera along with his brother Vinnie. Rex Brown was their bass player, and Terry Glaze did double duty on rhythm guitar and vocals. Vinnie and Dimebag enlisted their father’s help to form their own record label called Metal Magic. They met with some success and released three albums during the 80’s. Groups like Def Leppard and Judas Priest heavily influenced them. Vinnie is said to have disowned the albums after a few years had passed. But they served the purpose of making the group known to fans of hard rock and metal.
